On February 6, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake devastated large areas of central Turkey and northwest Syria. The death toll has surpassed 11,000.
Catholic Relief Services will support emergency relief efforts led by local partners in both Syria and Turkey with Caritas Turkey, Caritas Syria in Aleppo and Lattakia—where extensive damage has been reported—and other local partners. Already in Turkey, Caritas Anatolia, in coordination with authorities, is bringing displaced people to safe, open spaces and distributing hot meals and clothing. The dioceses of Izmir and Istanbul are collecting donations to send to the Anatolia Region.
Your gifts will help partners to provide safe shelter, and access to food, clean water and hygiene supplies.
Please fill out the secure form to make a one-time donation to help families affected by the earthquakes by going to https://support.crs.org/donate/earthquakes.

A Note of Thanks from Fr. Joy
I wish to thank everyone who participated in celebrating the 30th Anniversary of my Priestly Ordination on Saturday by coming for the Mass and then to the St. Pio Parish Center to celebrate. You truly made me feel welcomed and loved.
Many thanks go out to all who made this wonderful event possible by organizing and cooking: Marta, Joyce, Pat, Laura, Connie, Maribeth, kitchen staff: Joe, Stephen, Greg and Bill. Those who made desserts: Jane, Dianne, Kathy and Judy. Also, Ginny, John, Fr. Joe and others who worked so hard behind the scenes. Everything was perfect. The food was delicious and all enjoyed. I will never forget the beautiful big cake made on my behalf. It was truly a joyous event.
Thank you also for the wonderful greeting cards, personal good wishes and gifts. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
With prayerful good wishes and personal regards,
Fr. Joy
